Disney World

I'd like to tell you about my last two vacations to Orlando Florida. They are like night and day. The first one was bad because I stayed at a hotel. The second one was great because I stayed at a Disney World Vacation Home.

On my first trip to Orlando, my family wanted to go to Disney World so we booked a hotel room for 2 weeks and spent the days at the theme park and the evenings in the hotel pool. It was a nice time...except for a few things. We got sick of eating at restaurants - always ordering high priced food that wasn't really healthy. We spent a fortune on the hotel washer and dryer. We didn't like the pool very much because it was loud and over-run by teenagers. And then I got the bill for the hotel room and it felt like I needed to take out another mortgage on my home.

So when we returned home from our trip, we vowed never to go back because of the negative experiences. However, a trusted friend told me about the Disney vacation house. We decided to give Orlando another try and because of our great vacation this year, we're probably going to come back again next year!

A Disney World Vacation Home is not a house in the theme park itself, but is simply a nicely furnished home around Orlando that you can enjoy when you're not at the park. In a way, it is everything that our hotel was not.

When we don't feel like eating a restaurants (or if we want to save money on our food bill), we prepare our own meals. We use the in-house washer and dryer to keep our clothes clean. And we have our own pool in the backyard: no teenagers, no loud music, no crowds! Just us. And the cost? Much less than our hotel bill from the year before!

Our Disney World Vacation Home really made a huge difference on our holiday experience.
